Getting Started Again

It's time to get back to blogging!!! I've read over my blog and am so thankful that I put my thoughts on there. There were things the girls have done that I already forgot about. This tells me that I have got to get back to it. I'll be posting pictures later on tonight.

Rusty's Birthday

Rusty turned 43 on August 15th. The girls and I made him an ice cream birthday cake.

Trip to Ohio

We travled to Ohio this summer for our Gotcha reunion trip and had a wonderful time. The girls want to live next door to each other now. I always think it is so neat that our older girls new each other before we did. They will always have a special bond and so will our families. We come from different backgrounds but our girls bind us together and we as their parents experienced something together in 2003 that very few people ever get to.

Checking In

VBS has come to an end and I must say it went very well. I received positive feedback and the children had a great time. The adults had a good time too but we are a bit worn out. It was worth it though. Tomorrow we are off to attend our denominations general conference in North Carolina. We gather every four years and the last time we were able to attend was 11 years ago in Kansas City. Delegates will meet from all over the U.S. and even other countries to review our policies and procedures and determine if there need to be any changes. The Superintendent for the International Pentecostal Holiness Church will be voted on. We will attend worship services in the evenings that promise to be uplifting. I'm most excited that Gracie is old enough to attend Kids Quest while Rusty is in his meetings and then she will attend Children's Church during the evening worship services. The children will have their on Praise and Worship band and great speakers. Originally Rusty and I thought just the two of us would attend the conference but then decided to take the girls with us. I want to give Gracie opportunities to have her own spiritual experiences. I think it will good for her to meet children from all over the U.S. and to meet other preachers children. We get home Saturday and then we head to Ohio on Wednesday for Gracie's 7th Gotcha Day reunion trip. The Bullocks live in Ohio so we decided to head up their way this year. I'll have a lot of pictures to post after the trip.

As you can see we are going to be a bit busy over the next two weeks so I probably won't post again until we get home from OH. Pray we have safe trips and that our time in NC will be uplifting and life changing.
